While not true in most parts of America, saying certain words while traveling in other countries is likely to bring you much bad karma in the form of flying fists, stolen belongings, etc...

I'm gonna start with the fact that the little white bumps I found between my belly-button (hate that word) and the family-tree extender are not, as I feared, some form of herpes or genital warts.

It turns out they are molluscum and, while contagious, are otherwise completely harmless. Best to let them go away naturally over time. Molluscum Contagiousum appear to be little whiteheads or pimples that can be found anywhere on the body, often in the form of a cluster, though it's also possible to have just a few bumps spread over an area.

One way to distinguish them from whiteheads or pimples, is that if you try to pop these, they will only bleed, at least that's what I've found. Another characteristic of molluscum is that in the center of the bumps is a tiny indentation.

I hope you found this before you spent as much time as I did calculating the odds of my having contracted a disease from any number of 'questionable sources' I've come across in my day. Here are a few pictures to help you be sure.

And if you're curious as to how I know this, I finally went to a doctor to have it checked. It was painless and I certainly wish I had gotten over my anxiety and taken care of it sooner. Though it was a bit awkward when I began joyously laughing  after the doctor put my STD fears to rest. Anyway, if you're worried about anything at all that might be wrong with you, just take care of it immediately. It's just not worth it to live in ignorance, fear, and worry. I tried.
